Rush issued “Rush 50” back in March, and it’s been living in our heads rent free ever since! This record is a career-spanning collection of the band’s greatest hits. Rush 50 ended with the final hits that the Canadian group performed at their final show in 2015. After their drummer/lyricist Neil Peart sadly passed away in 2020, fans didn’t think a Rush live reunion was on the cards. But these rock titans know how to throw a good curveball… the iconic Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are returning to the stage as Rush for an absolute massive summer 2026 headline tour.
Anika Nilles will be drumming for the group. She’s an award-winning German composer and producer who has hit the road with industry pros like Jeff Beck, and has dropped four solo albums. This road trip is called “Fifty Something,” and has been described as a “celebration of Rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.” Fifty Something will see Rush arrive in seven cities across the continent, kicking off the trek with 2 nights at the Kia Forum in LA on 7th - 9th June 2026. Fifty Something will then make its way to Mexico City for 1 show and then perform 2 nights in several other cities, such as Fort Worth, Chicago, New York and Toronto. All before, winding down with a single show in Cleveland on 17th September. The most anticipated performance of the run is at the esteemed Rocket Arena on 19th September 2026.
If you weren’t already aware, Rush are mainstays on the airwaves. In 1994, the rock band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. They were also inducted into the coveted Rock and Rock Hall of Fame in 2013. Rock fanatics can’t get enough of smash hits “Tom Sawyer,” “The Spirit of Radio,” “Limelight,” “Subdivisions,” “Closer to the Heart” and “New World Man.” The group’s popularity skyrocketed in the eighties, when they dropped 6 consecutive albums. The records made their way up the top 10 on the Billboard 200. And now, the legendary Rush are bringing all their greatest hits to fans at one of the greatest venues out there!
